Hydraulic dredging within Wellfleet Harbor
-Andy Koch stated that hydraulic dredging ruins the ocean bottom rendering it dead.
-He had spoken with Henry Lind and the experience in Eastham was that it wiped out quahogs and killed other species. The same situation was also reported to be true in New Bedford.
-Helen Miranda Wilson shared with the committee that the existing Temporary Regs allow for experimental hydraulics in defined areas.
-Andy Koch expressed the need to revise the existing regs to eliminate any hydraulic dredging
-Because some shellfishermen presently use hydraulics on their grants without any negative effects, that could be continued. The decision to revise the Temporary Regs was put on hold and will be addressed when necessary.
Red Tide Relief
Application is available (would someone please tell me where the application can be procured)
Egg Island Gear
The problem on Egg Island is with gear that is no longer in use or not well secured..
However, regulations for the removal of aforementioned gear presently exist. (Shellfish Regulation 10.1.10)
FDA Oyster Testing
-Concerns still remain over closure of Harvesters and/or entire regions.
-Suggestion was made to do independent research and present findings at the next meeting.
Dog Waste Program
-It was announced that the Dog Waste program was brought up at the BOS meeting but no-one spoke for it.
-The transfer of funds from the Waterways budget could not be done until it met with the approval of the BOS
-Guy Daniels is to contact Tim Smith to get on the agenda at the next BOS meeting
-Guy Daniels met with Mark Vincent about beach signage and installation.
Winter Storage of floats and barges

1) Area to be tagged
